It's summer, what's happening?

Well, mostly, Tom Humberstone and I finished a whole entire book of my words and Tom's pictures from the campaign trail - new ones, fresh ones, and the best ones from the blog, beautifully designed by Tom on lovely thick matt paper. It's been lauded by Jesse Armstrong, the writer of Peep Show, Jeffrey Brown, creator of superb graphic novels, Iain Dale, political blogger supremo, Justin Webb, BBC North America Editor, and just about everyone in-between these diverse points.

Our launch was tremendously successful, and now the book is available to buy on PayPal here, with details of shop sales and cheques and such here. The limited-edition, individually-numbered first print run is almost GONE, so get it while it's hot - or else spend months crying in front of eBay later.

Other recent excitements:

Me (and Jay-Z) Vs Noel Gallagher
for The Guardian

Me Vs the BNP for the New Statesman

Me being surprised and impressed by an ageing Public Enemy for the New Statesman.

Tom and I interviewed by BBC Radio Five Live about My Fellow Americans.

I liked your description of S1W as camp; I was always quite amused by them.

I will try to buy your book soon, although I am ranking All Played Out ahead of it in terms of prioritising.

Hey Sunny D,

Hope you are well.

We are working on a series of events on behalf of San Miguel. There are five one-off music events held in London and Manchester. We have 3 London events coming up and I was hoping you would like to be involved and also join us? There is an opportunity for you to come on down to the events as we have a few select tickets we are offering to key bloggers. You will be treated like a VIP and there’ll be free San Miguel on offer to the guests on our list 
There are opportunities to have face to face interviews with the DJ’s on the nights or email interviews before the events if you cannot make the event.

There are also a whole host of secret guests who will be attending the nights. These names are only to be uncovered on the night, but if you are keen to be involved, I can reveal them to you beforehand if you like. One of the secret guest for the Manchester gig which was on the 10th July was Grandmaster Flash.

31st July Secretsundaze T-Bar, London
21st August Chromeo The End / AKA, London
18th September It’s Pop It’s Art / Fred Deakin The Amersham Arms

We also have some competition prizes if you wanted to run a competition on your blog, and your users can win some cool prizes e.g. we have some Glimmers albums “GeeGee Fazzi”, Wall of Sound albums (we have signed & unsigned copies).

These are “ticket only” events, so if you users would like to attend, all they would need to do, is register for a chance to get a free ticket on the Hidden Depths website: http://www.sanmiguel.co.uk

Let me know if you are interested in being involved and we can discuss this further!

I look forward to your reply.

Kind Regards
